Diminish the lines

Reduce the Signs of Aging

Injectables can help temporarily reduce the signs of aging in the skin, leaving you looking younger and more refreshed. There are a wide variety of cosmetic injectables that work in different ways to help smooth lines and wrinkles, while replacing lost structure and volume.

Fillers

Contouring & Volumizing

Hyaluronic acid is the key ingredient in fillers. It is a naturally occurring substance in the human body that aids in cell hydration and suppleness. Fillers reduce the look of deeper wrinkles like the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, parentheses lines, smoker’s lines, and chin wrinkles. Fillers work through the addition of volume to key regions of the skin that have lost volume over time. As these regions regain their volume, the wrinkles ease away!

Botulinum Toxin

Wrinkle Smoothing

Botulinum Toxin works by reducing the natural contractions in the muscles that occur normally when your face moves to laugh or to frown. Botulinum Toxin will temporarily reduce the muscle activity and not only reduce lines from the past but prevent the lines from getting deeper in the future. The effect is temporary, however, with results typically lasting anywhere from 3-5 months on average.

How it works

Injectables Treatment

After a thorough consultation and assessment about the patient’s goals, Wewill make our recommendations for improvement and determine a treatment plan. This is typically incremental so that improvements are gradual, natural, and well-controlled. Depending on the amount of product being used, a session may last up to 45 minutes. The discomfort is really quite minimal, with numbing ointments and/or ice used to reduce the discomfort of the pin-pricks. Many patients will either return to work or have social activities within hours of their injections, and this generally poses no problem at all!

FAQ - Injectables

Which cosmetic injectable is right for me?
Not only do the various injectables work differently, they may also be best suited for injection in different facial areas, as well as at diverse depths. Understanding when and where to use specific injectable is vital to achieving the best results. We understand not only how each filler works individually, but also how they can be used synergistically as part of advanced layering techniques to provide the most youthful and natural-looking results!

What are the side effects of injectables?
The most common side effects of injectables are temporary bruising and slight pain with injection. Headaches, which go away in 24 to 48 hours, can occur, but this is rare.

A very small percentage of patients may develop eyebrow or eyelid drooping, drooping of the corner of the mouth, or inability to use a straw, depending on where the injectable is injected. For this reason, one should not rub the treated area for 12 hours after injection, or lie down for three to four hours after injection. No serious side effects have been noted when using injectables at the dermatologic (prescribed) doses.

Who should NOT receive injectables?
Patients who should not use injectables are those who:

  • are pregnant;
  • are breastfeeding;
  • have a neurological disease; or,
  • are allergic to albumin or a constituent (part) of the preservative.
